Someone is using my name in an attempt to scam people. I am not now nor have I ever been looking for any kind of assistant. I certainly wouldn't ever ask anyone to cash a check to me or to make a Western Union payment to anyone else (especially not someone in Manilla!). This is a classic Fake Check scam. These ships were docked for the Tall Ships Tacoma festival. Unfortunately, there aren't any really good locations to take pictures of the ships. In fact, it almost seems like the organizers want to keep people from photographing the ships. This was one of the best shots that I could get without having any buildings or other container ships in the way.
