Someone is using my name in an attempt to scam people. I am not now nor have I ever been looking for any kind of assistant. I certainly wouldn't ever ask anyone to cash a check to me or to make a Western Union payment to anyone else (especially not someone in Manilla!). This is a classic Fake Check scam. Learn more about that at www.fakechecks.org. If you've been in contact with this person, please report them ASAP!

Brother Dave and I pose at the finish line for a picture. I'm feeling the need to sit down at this point. Only one more hill to go (argh!) to the recovery area.
Mom and I pose for a picture right after I finish the race.
Oh man the post race bath feels so good!
One final shot of the runner with his cheering section. It was really great to have them all there for the race, I really appreciated it. It would have sucked so much more without them.
Another motion blurred finish line picture. The lighting wasn't great for my wife's little Canon SD300. Oh well. I've fixed it up as much as I know how again and hopefully you get the point. Way to go Pooh!
Brother Dave waits patiently for me to arrive. Beth tells me that my cheering section was warming up with some hot chocolate waiting for me to arrive. What a great idea!
Pooh gives up some props to the camera girl. He must have been feeling better than I was.
Pooh and his buddy are looking jovial at mile 19.5 or so. Pooh felt good enough to have some GU. I would have puked on the spot if I took in any GU. Way to go Pooh!
I just crossed the finish line. I'm glad they had people there that would bend down to get our timing chips. At that point, I'm not sure I would have gotten back up. It's the first time I stopped moving in 4 hours and 32 minutes. I walked just long enough at the aid stations to get water because I can't drink and run at the same time but other than that I didn't stop running. I was pretty proud of myself. Not only did I finish, but I finished strong.
