Someone is using my name in an attempt to scam people. I am not now nor have I ever been looking for any kind of assistant. I certainly wouldn't ever ask anyone to cash a check to me or to make a Western Union payment to anyone else (especially not someone in Manilla!). This is a classic Fake Check scam. The North Star stays (mostly) stationary high in the night sky over Wallowa County Oregon. This one hour exposure shot is the first that I've ever tried. I'm glad I have a working knowledge of photoshop as I was caught off guard not only by the noise but the smattering of hot pixels. A few layers, some blur, a layer mask, and some levels cleared most of that up.
