Someone is using my name in an attempt to scam people. I am not now nor have I ever been looking for any kind of assistant. I certainly wouldn't ever ask anyone to cash a check to me or to make a Western Union payment to anyone else (especially not someone in Manilla!). This is a classic Fake Check scam. Learn more about that at www.fakechecks.org. If you've been in contact with this person, please report them ASAP!

Brother Dave and I pose at the finish line for a picture. I'm feeling the need to sit down at this point. Only one more hill to go (argh!) to the recovery area.
Mom and I pose for a picture right after I finish the race.
Another motion blurred finish line picture. The lighting wasn't great for my wife's little Canon SD300. Oh well. I've fixed it up as much as I know how again and hopefully you get the point. Way to go Pooh!
I just crossed the finish line. I'm glad they had people there that would bend down to get our timing chips. At that point, I'm not sure I would have gotten back up. It's the first time I stopped moving in 4 hours and 32 minutes. I walked just long enough at the aid stations to get water because I can't drink and run at the same time but other than that I didn't stop running. I was pretty proud of myself. Not only did I finish, but I finished strong.
Lots of motion blur here, but it's the only shot that I've got of me crossing the finish line so I thought that I'd post it anyhow. I did as much correction in photoshop as I knew how to do (smart sharpen correcting for motion blur). Hopefully you get the idea anyhow.
Amy poses for the camera as my cheering section waits for me to cross the finish line.
My mom poses for a pic while she waits for me at the finish line.
A view of the space needle from the finish area before the strat of the race. The clouds in the distance worried me initially, but they decided not to rain on us which is good.
The volunteers set up the finish line and finish area before the race kicks off.
