Mike Lane > I love this vantage point on Pier 39 in San Francisco. I think this carousel is gorgeous. I've shot it before but not with this camera so I had to take some time to get to know it again.
Mike Lane > The San Francisco Carousel on Pier 39 is such a big draw for me. I'm not 100% sure why. I like how it's situated, the deep red interior, the light shining off the wood below it. It's such a great place to shoot. I didn't even go to the Golden Gate this trip!

Mike Lane > Three adorable little girls from the Karen hill tribe in northern Thailand. These girls were obviously used to getting their picture taken. This was the only shot I could get of them looking at the camera since there were a half dozen people behind me taking pictures too. These girls are between 5 and 7 years old and have just recently begun stretching their necks with brass rings. One interesting fact: only girls born on Wednesday have their necks stretched.
